Thanked: 3228J A Henckelels Friodur 451
For some reason I always wanted a Henckels Friodur 3 pin and finally bit the bullet. Definitely not mint but excellent condition so I have no complaints. It was very fairly represented by the seller's photos. This is how it looks after a quick polish.

That's quite the nice Friodur catch. Heck, those scales don't even look half bad for a stock Friodur. Enjoy the shaves!

Thanked: 3228Yea, I am a little pumped about it right now and can't wait to send it out for a honing so I can try it. I don't know if they are in a league of their own or not but would like to find out. So long as it shaves as well as the SRs I have I'll be happy enough. I sorta like fairly plain SRs so the scales with the little inlays are just enough for me.

Nice find Bob. Once honed by a pro I would wager you will be very happy with her and you will get to experience just how
nice a properly honed razor can shave which will leave you with a target experience if you decide to learn to hone. Enjoy!

The honorable Cudarunner loves his Friodur and let me try it. As expected, 'shaved like a Dovo Inox if the Inox had been 6/8 w/ a bit of spine. When I finally got one, I said it was boring. In all the right ways. Just takes edges w/out fuss or drama, gives great shaves - decent even when the edge needs attention. All blades should be boring like this. They're wonderful.

Thanked: 480Friodurs really are great razors once you have them dialed in. I seem to always have one in my rotation. Its a love hate with the 451's super shave, pointy end! A careless guy like me does better with the round points!
I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

I know what you mean about square points. I'm always more cautious when using my Swede SSA square point, only been using an SR for about a month now. My other SR is a round point and is a little more tranquil experience at this point.

You'll love it, but be sure to get it honed professionally unless you're already proficient at honing. They're easy maintenance and excellent shavers. I started with one and now it's up to five.
Dang things are like potato chips, I couldn't eat just one!! Beautiful razor, enjoy!!!

Howard
