That is clearly a mole-pivot for the rare and elusive Windmill Stroke.

Makes sense now. I was almost sure it was a whistle.

Does the 5/6 correspond to 5/6 of an inch?

Good question but it measures 6/8 at the widest part of the heel and tapers down to about 11/16's at the toe.

Maybe one of the UK gents can tell us "colonials" if it was a way of pricing "back in the day".

I wonder whether it was #5 in a 6-day set :P
