    Default Fredrick Reynolds Barbers Notch

Happy with a bay buy... Scales need replacing since they are cracked on the inside.. but it otherwise looks great. Going to send it off somewhere for a resto, since I lack the expertise. Again, sorry for the craptastic cell phone pic.

You could just Krazy Glue the crack..I had a razor that came like that..no issues ever..I would clean it up with some Flitz/Maas/Mothers polish (my friend uses this)..and woolpads #0000

I might give that a shot. They feel very brittle, so thats probably the main reason I'd send it out to be rescaled

Lizard-not sure about the scales, but I recently won an old Reynolds on the Bay, and was quite surprised at what I could do with the blade by just polishing it with Mother's, CrOx, and old socks. But I might get it rescaled, I don't know. Please show us the after pics too!

I think that's the one I was eyeing as well. Glad that someone on here got it! It went over my price range at the time so I wasn't too worried when I didn't get it. That looks like it will clean up to be a great blade.

It was a touch more than I wanted to pay, but was at the price I set my max, so I'm happy. I'm going to get cleaning it up a go over the weekend

What are those scales made out of?

They feel plastic-y, but I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks, I have found the exact razor and was debating on pulling the trigger as I was hoping they were horn. Good luck on the resto Crzylizard! I will be looking forward to bringing mine back to life too!
