Thanked: 0Antique store toggle
Found this in an antique store marked at $4. I guess the all-metal Stahly was more ($5) because the scrap value is higher.

I have one that I use often. And it does give the best shave of any of the Gillette adjustables that I have. On this one you might consider having it replated, working and looking well, it's a keeper!

Yes, that one is a keeper. It is quite a find and probably worth fixing it up.

They are a relatively heavy DE which makes for a good shave IME. If the adjustment ring is working you have a good shaver there. After cleaning an overnight soak in mineral oil might be a good thing. That is what I did when I collected vintage DE TTOs.

Well for $4 I guess you really can't go wrong! Does the adjusting mech. work?

Thanked: 0Yes, so far as I can tell, it works. When I twist the ring it produces nice clicks, and the space in the head changes slightly.
I'm not sure how the toggle is supposed to work. When I flip the toggle, I then have to push it up slightly to make the silo doors click open. Is it supposed to be spring loaded?
