Thanked: 88Sweedish market Bengal
I bought a razor on eBay a that has the same markings as this one below:
http://straightrazorpalace.com/works...sher-pins.html
The markings are "AtBol Borlänge Maskinaffär"
The listing is:
antique Abol Borlänge Maskingaffär Bengal straight razor | eBay
It appears to be an English Bengal razor imported for the Sweedish market, with a French point. Can't wait to get it.

Congrats. Reminds me a lot of the small Mk 24 Helje.
There is also a Solingen Bengal made by Voos & Essers. I don't think those companies are related to the Cadman Bengalls tho the quality of Solingen & Swedish razors is not in question.
AFAIK majority of exports from Cadman went to India, Poland, Japan & Australia.

Thanked: 88Good point, in fact, now that I think of it, the Bengal razors I've seen are German, not English Bengalls. The plot thickens... I have no idea if this razor is Sweedish, English, or German (with a French point, Ha!).
This link: Digitaliserat affärstryck Kungliga biblioteket, mentioned in the other thread, is purported to attribute these razors to the English Bengall razor and date it at 1917-1918, but then these illustrations don't really look like this razor.
Edit: Upon further review, the Bengall stamp on the tang looks exactly like the ones in the illustrations in the link.Last edited by DFriedl; 06-15-2012 at 02:17 AM.

Maybe it's even less than 6 degrees of separation
