    Default Frederick Reynolds

    Seems I am on a run of finding Sheffield razors. I cleaned it up with metal polish and 0000 steel wool. This Frederick Reynolds is 6/8 and 1/2 or 1/4 hollow ground with a slight smile. I have a hard time judging grinds but it is a heavy blade compare to the full hollows I have. It has a lead wedge, brass pins and no jimps. Feels great in my hand and I can't wait to get my honing stones to touch it up to shave with. Just another plain utilitarian razor.

    I have 4 F Reynolds blades and once you get a good edge on it, you won't need to hone it for months. They really hold their edge in my experience.....

    Plain utilitarian razors often spoil you with mind blowing shaves - I'm sure your Reynolds will be no exception. Tape that spine, it looks to be so far untouched. Enjoy!

    Thanks for the comments guys. The price and shavability of these utilitarian razors do it for me but I will get some fancier blades sooner than later. Yes, I will tape that spine when I work up the nerve to try honing for the first time.
