Thanked: 16New finds amazingly close to home
As in my drawer on my workbench. A friend had given me some razors in various states years ago for helping him install marble floors. I thought I had found them all, but in the back buried under some stuff were four more razors and some boxes. A beefy 6/8 Friedmann&Lauterjung "Electric" with a 1/4 inch spine and a broken Hunter&Sons, a Thistle Cutlery Co. with "Ajandek K. Rippen and dohanyhoz" underneath with a matching box, a Morley&Sons box in pretty good shape, and a "Superior Quality" by TPF Co.
The Thistle is ready for new scales and I have some mahogany scales ready for the F&L.
Anybody recognize the language on the Thistle? Hungarian?

Friedmann&Lauterjung "Electric" are super good vintage razors IME. Lauterjung, IIRC, was the name of the family that owned and ran Puma in their heyday. I'm not sure if this Lauterjung was a member of that family.

Thanked: 16Thanks for the info. I am looking forward to rescaling it. It may move ahead of the Wade & Butchers I've been working on. I will try to put up a better picture today. If anyone is looking for a Morley and Sons box, I would be interested in trading for an Imperial or W&B box.
