Pics are tuff Brother, but from that pic the blade looks much heavier then I would have thought from the ebay pic, which to me means it can be taken to a higher level of polish.. The more steel available to work the more options it gives you... That is why you see some near Mirror Polishes from the pros when we are working Wedges and Satin finishes more often when we are working Hollows.. It is simple mathmatics a Hollow blade is thinner so we can't dig out the pits as well..

No razor that I have ever seen in Mint condition was sold with Rust, Corrosion, or Patina...

The factory Finishes ranged from Mirror to Rough Satin there is a great post on here in the Workshop about how those finishes were achieved with leather wheels and some pretty odd abrasives...

Also Frosted, Blued, and some other "Special Finishes" were out there... but Rusted was not a popular option

Nothing against those of you that like the well worn look, I just don't want them on my face... some like the old and some like clean shiny steel...

Just thought about this again and realized that you might think Clean and Shiny means Mirror ???? it doesn't in my book

Just means nothing but clean steel ie: an nice even finish, a Satin finish is still Clean and Shiny steel

    Damn hippies.

If others want patina or such, who am I to say "no" to their liking or requests. Patina for me.....forget it. I don't really like mirrors either. I prefer a satin finish, or a vintage glazed finish on all of my razors.

I am with ya Nathan most all of my personal restores are a nice Satin but then again I tend toward very hollow grind razors...
