First "in the wild" purchase
I haven't had much time to look, nor money to spend so I haven't gone out much antiquing. Well, the other week up in the Northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan, a little shop was having a little 50% off going out of business sale....
I saw a rolls razor and asked if he had any other shaving equipment.
Acquired:
A very serviceable rolls razor with an extra blade and 2 strop dressings.
A Shumate Barber St. Louis MO 5/8 or so. Great condition and original box
A Le Grelot in good condition. Obvious regrind
Gillette open comb
GEM micromatic (he threw that in for $2)
A set of handmade petosky stone cufflinks
A set of silver/blue cufflinks
half of a quart sized ziplock bag of costume jewelry for the daughter.
Shumate
LeGrelot
I left behind a nasty valet autostrop DE, a 5/8 no name straight (had champion on the scales) in great condition, another 5/8 Soligen straight with some minor cell rot, and plenty of great cufflinks ($5) and tie clips.

Nice! Both those straights look to be in excellent shape. Have fun with them.
Are you planning on shaving with the Rolls? If so, let us know how that works out. I have seen one at an antique store that seems to be in real good shape, and I've been thinking about picking it up ever since.

Both the straights shave well. I honed them up and have had a couple of shaves each! I did use the Rolls a few times as well as has my wife. I really like part of it and it seems to work better than my DEs, but the steel compares to other Sheffield steel razors I have tried. Make sure you check out the strop on the rolls, they can be pretty beat up.

The Shumate box has great directions, Keep the blade flat against the face! The LeGrelot is a wonderful hefty blade.

Maple...
There was another straight worth there, only 30 minutes or so south of the bridge.... In Indian River...... right near US 75. Oh, never mind they upped the toll on Big Mac. And, I am not sure where you actually are in the great Northern State. (Yes, I am a troll/apple knocker, but I still like the UP.)
