Buying stuff off ebay is just so addictive.
just the idea of getting a really good day plus the
ebay bucks. Then on top of that cash back.
I had two of my buys paid for this week with my ebay bucks lol.
Picked me up a nice looking vintage strop with the ebay bucks go me.

So true! I was ebaying initially to get a couple vintage razors for a friend as a wedding gift but ended up spending more time and dollars on there than I anticipated!

Wow, that's Tamahagane steel! Quite rare for a straight razor, I haven't seen a lot of those.
    A pity for the wear.

I have a japanes western style as well and it shaves better than my dovos. I like the razor, and think it might just surprise you in the end.
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

Please STOP bidding while drunk! It makes really hard to bid cheap and fair when you think in the extra effort in restoring!!

    ditto!

The good thing is that you didn't bid on a car or round trip tickets for a cruise!
