    I go for the looks, definitely. Not that it doesn't feel right in the hand, but most of my razors feel right, it's the looks that make the difference.
    Also, all the Bartmann's I got my hands on were really easy to sharpen and took a perfect edge.

    I don't find those 'manganese steel' ones so very easy to hone.
    But ones they are honed...truly fantastic shavers.

    Just as you suggested, Glenn, I just stropped on linen (worn blue jeans) and my Walkin' Horse horse butt strop and received a shave of perfection with the Bartmann. I really like this one!

    Oh, I do like the looks of your 504. Once I get my hands on gold wash razors, I immediately mess up the wash. I do like that spine. Very nice.
