Hot off the bay! Honed it up today. Shaved with it. Edge is a bit harsh right off the stone even after 30X linen and 50X leather. Hopefully it'll settle in. Grind looks to be between a half and quarter hollow. Shaved great with cold water.

Thanked: 884Set the bevel with a 1K Chosera, then 5K, 8K, 12K Naniwa.
It's sharp, it'll "treetop" arm hair no problem. Just a bit harsh feeling compared to my Sheffields, but they feel the same way fresh off the stones too. Seems to take three or four shaves/stroppings to mellow them a bit.Member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club, participant SE Asia War Games 1972-1973. The oath I swore has no statute of limitation.

Yup - that's sharp! You could try a little Crox rub. That works well for me. That and Dovo Green paste do wonders killing that harshness for me. YMMV.
Truly - it's a nice looking blade.David

Nice looking razor. Grats on the find.
