Gillette Travel Tech kit with accessories - Mint!
So I wanted a nice DE for traveling. This would be my first DE too. So I started looking around the usual places. I then remembered about etsy.com! And wow, are there a ton of sellers who have a bunch of nice vintage DEs
I finally ended up buying this beautiful travel set.
Just got it this weekend, and man is it gorgeous! It really does look like it was unused. It even had the original paper card in the razor head!! I'll be keeping that of course. I went to Sally's and the dollar store to pickup some things for disinfecting; Barbicide/Hydrocide, a mason jar, some extra micro fiber towels for polishing, and a toothbrush.
It turned out beautiful! I only did the razor last night. I'm gonna do the rest this week. Of course I don't have to polish the comb.
Very very happy with this lucky find. Price was $30. The seller was wonderful too... She even added a personally written thank you note.
Quick question though... Anyone know what the little knife would be used for? Its like a mini straight razor... lol

Very nice. I have something similar to that just in a black case With a mirror and nail clippers. Great little double edge. Perfect for travel.

I shaved with it last night. It was super smooth! I was really surprised what this little thing could do. They really did built them excellently back in the day.
I used the blade that came with it. Was a Gillette Platinum-Plus.Last edited by dorknight; 10-24-2012 at 06:42 PM.

Thanked: 68My guess wouid be that is a "corn razor".
I'm sure I've seen a few small straights around here that have been for that purpose.

Just shaved with mine 2 nights ago.
That's some sort of pedicuring tool for corns and calluses.
