I took it for a spin this morning. In a word, beautifully. It shaves beautifully.....and smoooooooth. Really smooth. I lathered up with DR Harris Marlborough and put the blade to my face. I could barely feel any stubble being removed. I had to check with my other hand. It was clean. The edge is laser sharp from tip to toe. And with the slight smile in the blade I can angle it a little here and there to get at some tougher areas. I loved it. It removed every trace of stubble without my even noticing it coming off. This may be my new favorite blade.

Nice. That particular grind was one of their masterpieces, IMO. It will serve you well. Nothing will ever replace it!

Yes. That would be a good way to describe it. We must remember that circular stones were used to grind blades by hand. The razor grinders got them as they were 10 inches or so from other users requiring larger diameter stones. They wore down with use and were used on different blade grinding. Production was often with what stones were currently on hand in a particular size, due to wear. After a while, the stones went to penknife makers and so on. At a magical point, a stone reached 5 point something inches and was used to grind a 6/8thish blade with one grind. The rest is history!
