You need some 9/8's or at least a 8/8 in there somewhere. Big blades need their own pouches and they encourage all types of road rage on long trips.

Should have left the pouch on the chair... Now that would have been a coservation piece at the airports.. Restaurants, and business meetings..

I love the creativity of the case, looks well executed too. Beautiful razors! Thanks for sharing!

You're absolutely right, so I got an 8/8 T. Ascher Masonic razor. It should be here soon.

    Dating the Rameau razor,
According to Camille Page the company was founded in 1851. In 1905 the company change its name to "Rameau Freres".

At the International Exposition of 1889 Rameau was awarded a silver medal.

There is evidence that Rameau use a Medaille stamps on their razor after 1889.

That said we can assume that the razor is between 1851-1888?
Also in a "Rose-Croix" (Rosicrucian) directory from 1935 there was a doctor Roustan???

    Excellent info! Thank you!

I'd love to know more about doctor Roustan. There was another doctor Roustan associated with the early enthusiasm for mesmerism around the turn of the 19th century, but I seriously doubt there's a relation.

Beautiful razors - and thanks for the reminder! I picked up a chunk of leather a couple of months ago intending to make a travel case something like yours. It's long past time to get to work on that!

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

I have another, much larger pouch too. I think it holds 12 razors. It's been a very long time since I used it. But at some point I'm going to use the last large bit of leather to make one that's not kind of bodged-looking.
