Default The little spike that could

I seen this razor and instantly fell in love with the look of it. So I thought 4\8 be damned I'm buying it. So when it arrived I honed it up and wouldn't you know it mowed hairs like a razor twice his size. Definitely a keeper. Hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I do lol. Sorry the pics are a little dark. Hard to get some good light this late in the day with cloudy skies and wasn't about the go outside and freeze my nubs off taking photos.

Wow... yeah, that IS definitely a "keeper"! Union Cutlery? I've got a 9/16" Spike wedge by them, but this appears to be a half-hollow. Those "butterscotch" scales, with their silver-and-black bolsters, are gorgeous. It certainly is a "Special". Mazal Tov, and use it in good health!

Thank you sir I definitely will. Yeah half hollow plus its got a....not sure the technical term...double grind? About 1/16 of an inch above the bevel it "flares" out then hollows back in again. Never seen this pronounced. Yet anyway.

    Dewey,

Taking a size XL glove, the smaller blades are always a challenge, with their toothpick-sized shanks. That said, I have - and use one little gem I can't part with. A little 4/8 Shumate Tungsteel. It just doesn't miss when asked to deliver. I perfectly understand how an outstanding razor would over-rule most normal preferences. 'Hope you enjoy for decades.

I can't imagine working a 4/8 with XL hands. I wear a size M and it's plenty small in my hands.
