Spelling error is my gain!
This is a Joseph Rodgers and Son and surprisingly good condition pressed horn scales. I actually found this by accident while looking for straight razor scales on Ebay, largely because the listing wasn't very specific and spelled Sheffield wrong. I'm amazed I got this for just 20 bucks. It's beautiful and I think these scales can be restored to boot. I honestly think I got this for for just the reserve price because the listing wasn't done well and no one noticed it. I could be wrong though, but I'm thrilled to have this in my collection nonetheless.

Bad news on this one, the scales looked fine on the outside but once I got inside there was a lot of rot. The blade is fine though and honed up nicely. Can't wait for my scales to come in the mail to start using this one. I'm quite enjoying the Dovo replacement scales while I'm working on learning how to make my own scales. Plus once I'm good at making my own scales I can use the Dovo ones for reference. I'll be sure to show my completed work once all my scales come in!

Thanked: 884JR's are great shavers.
You'll enjoy it. I'd run it as is until the scales fell apart if it was mine.Member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club, participant SE Asia War Games 1972-1973. The oath I swore has no statute of limitation.
