Default Large Wade & Butcher masonic straight razor

the 2nd installment from Cheetah Meat

From the estate of a long gone New England dealer/collector, this early Wade & Butcher straight razor has a WOODEN handle and a beautifully engraved blade depicting Masonic symbols. The wide, thick blade is in EXCELLENT condition and bears the mark MANUFACTURED BY WADE & BUTCHER SHEFFIELD. The unusual wooden handle is primitive and, at some point in its long life, has had an extension glued in (see photos). Its overall length, open, is 10 inches.

I knew if i spent enough money I'd find another Masonic Straight...LOL
I think this makes 4 Masonics for me.

This one hasn't shown up yet. I won it not to long ago.
I'm not really feeling the scales but theres not reason to spend some big clams to replace them at this point.

    Thanks for looking

YOu may not be feeling the scales but from the looks of it, you'll darn sure feel the blade.

    Neat old razor.

Neat razor. The etches on that era's W&B Masonic blades are really good and deep, so it should be possible to get that nice and polished.

But it looks like someone rescaled it with a petrified banana.
