    Default 1 1/16 W.M. Hargreaves

    hello all...no other reason to post these days but to share crazy heavy hunks of chunky metal.

    BIG & HEAVY ANTIQUE HUMPBACK SHANK STRAIGHT EDGE WITH BARBERS NOTCH. OVERALL OPENED LENGHT IS 10". WEDGE SHAPED BLADE IS 5 3/4" AND HEIGHT IS 1 1/16". CLOSED THE STRAIGHT EDGE IS 6 3/4". BLADE IS TIGHT WITH NO PLAY EVEN THOUGH THE SCALE HAS A BROKEN OFF TIP ON THE SHANK END AND A SMALL SPLIT ON THE OTHER END. SCALES HAVE BRASS PIVOT PINS. MARKED WM. HARGRAVES & CO, IMPERIAL RAZOR SHEFFIELD. NO CHIPS OR DINGS IN THE BLADE.SOME DISCOLORATION TO THE METAL.

    Im not worried. My mentor Sharpton or Wullie will take care of it for me. That is not a wave. It tis but a simple scratch.

    Hopefully sooner than later. I sent an email with pics to my favorite restorer onthis site and he never got back to me. So i have to reach out to other restorers and figure out my next move. Luckily my facial hair takes forever to grow. So no worries there. I have to say that i do get discouraged with the wait time to get blades back though but what can you do. I can sand to my hearts content but i dont have any fjnishing equipment so back to square one i go.
