Sorry for the lousy pictures, but I am Blackberry bound. This is a GENS NO.14, 78mm Blade Razor Made in Solingen, Germany. The description from the seller is:

"The razor looks it has never been used with an original paper case. It is from an old stock at Nichiri Co. which is the one of largest barber equipment manufacture and barber�fs supply wholesale company in Japan. I had sent e-mail to Nichiri Co. a couple years ago to purchase straight razors, but Nichiri Co.,Ltd. had discontinued carrying straight razors a couple years before when I e-mailed, even through the one of largest wholesale company discontinued those vintage straight razors for professional, it is harder and harder to get those vintage straight razors in new condition nowadays in Japan. I think that it was imported by Nichiri Co.,Ltd or distributor sold to Nichiri Co.Ltd.

It should be at least 30 to 40 years old. The blade length: 78mm (3 1/8 inch) The total length of the razor when it opened: 255mm (10 inch) The shoulder width of the blade: 6mm (1/4�h) The width of the blade: 24mm (15/16�h) The total weight of the razor: 2.3oz."

It looks so much better than the pictures. It is brand new looking and flawless. Well, no, not really -- there is some faint gold wash on the toe of the razor near the spine. Flaw -- too much gold. I suppose it could be worse. I can't wait to report a SOTD with this one.

oh wow...that is beautiful!!! congrats.....it looks like it will be a great shaver...beards beware!!!! lol
