What a great combination, a Friodur and a shoulderless blade. That is one nice find Jamie.

Thanks Bob, it's my first stainless steel razor, I'm suitably impressed, the young guy from whom I purchased the razor from told me it was his Grandfathers razor which he had never used, so I just gave the blade a strop and she certainly shave ready with a fine factory edge I must say well done Henckels.

Now that is impressive a factory edge that is truly shave ready. They seem to have lost their way on that issue with modern razors.

Yes the box is plastic, do you have any idea of the age of the razor, I'm not sure myself at a guess I'm thinking late 70s early 80s?

Those are a later production, the box of the older ones was not plastic but the typical card board.

    Jamie,
I can't say for sure, I know the last production Friodurs were with painted letters on the scales not inlays, so may be the 70's?
