Thanked: 21865 Henry Sears Queen 5/8
Back Story....
I bought a razor on ebay, It came with a non-original box. No big deal it was sold as it was found in the estate. I paid like 14 bucks for the razor and it was in good shape.
Package came and I got to looking at the box and it was in incredible shape. On the box it said Henry Sears and son, 1865 extra ground and mtd in Germany
Then on the end it says Barbers queen 5/8 inch warranted 3.00 each.
The search begins....
I thought to myself, "I should check around to see if I can find the razor for this box" so I checked the Bay and found a 30 day auction for the exact razor I was looking for it even had the original scales with "queen" embossed on them. The pictures were very blurry and there was very little description. But I figured I would roll the dice.
I bought the razor for about 25 bucks.
The Payoff......
It showed up and I was not dissapointed, it has some patina from 148 years of being passed around the planet. But there is no hone wear and the blade is straight and the scales are in good shape.
A good hone and I think this thing is ready to shave.
I couldn't be happier.
