You know, the blade and tang shape is remarkably similar to my Shumate tungsten. I'll have to compare them side by side, just to see.
It does have a nice little smile. When the Dude is recognized in the world, unDudeness will be seen everywhere--- the Dude de Ching

Thanked: 1184I don't know nuthin' but for some reason the first thing I thought was Torry. I got a kick out of the cymbals made into washers. Must of been owned by a drummer at one time. I bet it turns out to be a great shaver all kidding aside. Such a deal. I just bought a lot of 6 and a couple of others at around that price. Hope I get as lucky.
Ahhhh the secret is in the 4/8k strop. You have to read the fine print..Last edited by 10Pups; 03-12-2013 at 06:29 AM.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

I sandblasted all the rust off it yesterday. I'll start sanding it this weekend. It looks like it'll be a winner. I love the smile it's got.

So I finally got around to finishing this guy up. Got it sanded nicely and polished all bright and shiny and new looking, and re pinned.
I had it honed up to 8k and felt really good about it after shaving, so today I took it to the purple welsh slate and then pasted strops up to .01 cbn. And shaved two days growth just now.
I gotta say, I'm really impressed with it. Surprisingly smooth shave and really a nice blade.
I'll see if I can get some pics up tomorrow. When the Dude is recognized in the world, unDudeness will be seen everywhere--- the Dude de Ching
