Default Not a Crown & Sword but...

Although the scales are Crown & Sword/ERN the Razor is a John Petty & Son Sheffield.

I don’t know what it is about the razor, shoulder less design, French/Oblique point,

or the overall lines but I liked the sleek look. I figure I will hang onto or find a good vintage home

(here or elsewhere) for the scales and use up some Brazilian Cherry heart wood I have here on a custom set of scales.

If anyone has any info on the maker I would be duly obliged, I have found some, looks like they were a full cutlery/ knife shop and bought out another maker whose name eludes me right now.

Nice looking razor, shoulderless razor are way cool in my book and easy to hone. Here a good thread about the maker: http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...n-salford.html

The seller shipped the other day so it should be here shortly, and I think I found a good home for the scales on a vintage restore that one of our fellow members is doing.
I hope it shaves as good as it looks.
