Default found a use for a cigar box

well since one time i was honing and watching tv and dropped the remote on my 1k nani and chipped it with the plastic remote i been thinking about building a box out of wood to place all my hones in since i realize how fragile that really are ... but until then i needed a bed for my coticule .. i thought about buying one of the wooden boxes they make per size for the coti's but remembered i had this laying around ...
now i dont have have to keep my coticule under my pillow at night ...

I put foam blocks in mine to help secure it from sliding around

Gooser, good idea. I have some cigar boxes that are used to store the Carborundums that I use on a regular basis.
Also, Birnando gave us an idea of keeping our hones in a gun case. I have one of those with my best hones in it, based on his idea, great for traveling.
I will post photos & a link to Birnando's case, later when I get back home.

Here is my main travel kit & the cigar boxes are my active hones for knives, etc.

Wow what a good way to travel with some hones.
And not worry about them breaking.
I would make a box for razor hones and one for machinist stones.

I'm looking for some foam as I have a 7 drawer humidor that I want to use for my straights. I'm not ready at the moment but when I get some down time I'm gonna go for it.
