Clauss rescale ....
well this Clauss was broke at the wedge , i glued it but it came apart so to the wood pile i went .. i had 2 pieces of walnut that were about 5" square so i angled the scale design to make em fit and away i went ... i wanted to see how tight i could make a set and i wanted to experiment with med CA glue and also try it on walnut cause ive read it dont work well with walnut or not as good as a teak oil or such ..
well it was a strange day , one where i couldnt drill strait on either pivot or wedge hole so instead of tossing them i used them anyway but ended up gluing the wedge end and filling the off hole with sawdust and CA glue over it ... everything was working good , i had a bottle of crazy glue that i used in a few spots cause it had a brush and wanted to try it , but CA and crazy dont mix i guess cause the krazy was dry to the touch but stayed jelly like under the service and when i went to sand is when i found out ... so i have a few spots that need a touch up and also a few where i didnt realize the scales were on the medal from peening .. so i guess it just wasnt my day , but i used up some scrap wood and ended on a satisfactory set of scales that ill go back in and touch up next time im CA gluing another set ... btw the med CA is SSSSOOO much easier to work with but dry time is 10 times longer then the CA thin but the med gives you some time to smooth it out and makes sanding easier in my opinion .. now that your bored from reading ( if you did ) here are some pics .. nothing special but they do there job at the moment

Looking good man!
I just got a clauss off ebay, but I need to straighten it in the scales before honing it. How does that one shave? When the Dude is recognized in the world, unDudeness will be seen everywhere--- the Dude de Ching

i shaved with it last night , it took a good bevel and i went to the coticule from there ( trying to figure it out ) i got it poppin arm hairs pretty good and went right in to shave with it .. one pass was as smooth as i could ask but it felt kinda harsh yet comfortable ( dont ask ..lol) i did forget to strop it after the hone so i assume that might be part of the issue idk though , ill try it again next time ... i got lucky on this Clauss as it was a BIN that was couple bucks more then the shipping because of the " big chip in the end " or better known as a barbers notch ..
