    Default My set of sharps!

I have here a Carl Schleiper Eye brand razor and a Tripoli Special Razor that I got both on Ebay for pretty darn good prices. I alternate between the two, usually what I feel like shaving with that day. The Tripoli Special is a bit thicker of a blade than the Carl schleiper and evidently does not get quite as sharp, but still shaves very nicely. I can get the carl schleiper so sharp it cuts my skin with the slightest twitch. I regularly cut myself with it and it is not one I choose if im running a bit late . The cup is circa 1920 from the Australian oriental line. It has an 18mm bone handle brush, that I replaced the knot with a nice badger hair from Golden Nib. I used Murray's shaving soap which I think smells a little like the Irish Cream Novelty Hot Chocolate that I drank as a kid.

Those look like a great deal from the bay. To have a old shaving mug in your daily routine must add a extra little treat to the shave. Thanks for sharing

PLJ I love using the antique cup and brush. The brush is so cool. The outside is so smooth like its not really bone, it was really polished down but it unscrews and inside you can see where the marrow would be and definite signs of it being made of bone. I almost look forward to shaving now where as before it was a hassle that I had to do because im military

I look forward to the whole proses of my shave. What straight to use what soaps or creams followed by what after shaves or lotions to use. I guess now that I think about it, it all depends on the mood I'm in

The brush and cup are awesome, and if I saw them, I would jump at the chance to pick them up if I had the money...but the Carl Schleiper razor is what really catches my attention. One of the knives that I carry every day is a vintage Carl Schleiper premium stockman, known as a German Eye Brand from what I have been able to find. The knife is really a great old slip joint, and I like it a lot, now that I know there is a razor by the same company I want to find a companion razor for it.
