    It's not the Joseph Allen that I've been looking for, but it's quite a nice blade I think.

    Should be here Monday I'm guessing.

    Antq Straight Razor The Original Non XLL Razor Joseph Allen Sons Sheffield | eBay

    Can't tell from the pic, but it looks pretty wedgy, and the etch looks to be in excellent shape. Looking forward to getting it in!

    Oh yeah man, I love all the ones I've picked up, whether I was looking for that particular one or not.

    I've been looking for one of the older Joseph Allen ones that are just stamped J. Allen and Sons on the tang. Because that's my first initial and last name. My father's as well, so it would be special. He won't shave with a straight razor, but I think it might make him an excellent gift.

    I have one around someplace,with the box Marked Joseph allen and sons on the tang,also the blade is engraved with the same.
    Is Ivory scaled,Need to go look for it,will post a pic if and when.

    Found it,have not seen it in yrs until this thread came up,As I said the scales are Ivory and also ingraved Lightly with some scrollwork and Non XLL.
