New set of Naniwas arrived....
After a few weeks of budgeting, I placed an order with Brad and Casie Maggard at Maggard Razors.
They just arrived and I couldn't be happier .
I ordered the 1k, 5k, 8k and 12k superstones.
Very impressed with the secure packaging and quick shipping to Oz.
Thanks "Undream" !!

Thanked: 3Nice!
What is the advice these days regarding honing on these ceramics?
Is it best to carry out honing on a trial and error basis, changing stone when the perception is that the edge is as sharp as you think it will get?
Or to go for a standard routine I.e, so many laps per stone? Shave test, if not good enough carry out same procedure but only for last two grits?
By the way your set up is really tempting me to go all out and purchase the same setup! Super inspiring!!

Hi Lenahaad,
It seems that everyone has their own honing "system", and I'm such a newbie that I couldn't recommend a particular routine.
I really like this youtube video by "gssixgun" : gssixgun Straight Razor Honing with speedster from SRP - YouTube
At some point in the future, I will probably buy the Naniwa 3k and lapping stone as well (I'm fussy !!).
