next is a 17/16 that i put a satin finish on the scales that came with it .. then some Olive Canvas Micarta showed up so i did the switch-a-roo .. this was/is my first time playing with Micarta but i will say it wont be the last .. wish i had some brass for a wedge but the black acrylic worked just fine !!

thanks !!
it surprisingly was IMO .. only thing that sucked was the sheet is 1/8" so i took the scales down on the belt sander and i was out of 600 & 800 sandpaper so i jumped from 400-1000grt so i used a bit of 1000 grit and it took awhile to get the scatches out before i could go 1500-2000 .... honestly though i think i enjoyed working with this more then wood .. and its kinda like the CA glue , as you go up in grits it just keeps looking better and better ...

if was a restorer and used it enough i would try to make it .. i never looked into it price wise but the sheet i got wasnt that expensive and i can prob make 2-3 more sets for 8/8 blades out of it if i move em around just right , so investing in everything needed to make it for a few razors i dont think would be worth it .. but like i said i never priced anything out so i have no idea ..
