My beautiiful new Iwasaki
The only thing that I don't get to do is shave with it since I'll be sending it over to Glen, for him to touch it up and all that jazz.
After it gets sent over and brought back to my arms, then I'll indulge myself and enjoy my first shave with a kamisori.

I want that perfect edge before I try it out, wait a week or two and I'll love to try her out.

I'd try it first also. That way when you get it back you'll have the answer for someone else with a new Iwasaki. "Should I send it out to be honed professionally"? You have the answer already, I suspect, but then you'll have empirical knowledge of the answer.
Enjoy that razor!!

Thanked: 13245I'll be honest here, I will test shave it before I hone it, so you might as well do the same, it is information that you can't get twice once it touches the hones that edge is gone forever Good or Bad it is information to learn
