The only thing that I don't get to do is shave with it since I'll be sending it over to Glen, for him to touch it up and all that jazz.



After it gets sent over and brought back to my arms, then I'll indulge myself and enjoy my first shave with a kamisori.

Strop that puppy and try it out,nice blade.

I want that perfect edge before I try it out, wait a week or two and I'll love to try her out.

I'd try it first also. That way when you get it back you'll have the answer for someone else with a new Iwasaki. "Should I send it out to be honed professionally"? You have the answer already, I suspect, but then you'll have empirical knowledge of the answer.

Thanks Howard, I asked someone on the forums before if it was shave ready or not (from aframestokyo) and he said it wasn't, so I'll get it touched up by Glen or Lynn, and after that I'll tend to my Iwasaki well.

Well if the seller said it is not shave ready,you have only one option,git ur done

I'll be honest here, I will test shave it before I hone it, so you might as well do the same, it is information that you can't get twice once it touches the hones that edge is gone forever Good or Bad it is information to learn

Nice looking blade. You'll enjoy it, when they're honed properly they take an amazing edge

Fine fine, I'll use it before I send out the kamisori out to you. I sent you an email before I got home about the wisteria wrap, would it trouble you to remove it?

So I've heard, I have never had a kamisori before so it's a welcome addition. Exciting, too!
