That ivory makes my mouth water . . . I'll have to look for some pre-ban stuff.

Incredible set of razors!, Captain Cox was probably highly regarded to be gifted such a set! Enjoy!

I've just gotten one razor cleaned and honed and it sure does look like it's a honey of a set.

My strategy for cleaning is extremely minimal at the moment. I'm scraping off red rust with an old blade, doing very light sanding on the spots with 2k paper and gently polishing everything. The scales are incredibly lovely with just a light polishing!

I'm going to need to be careful though because the spines of the razors are all blued.

Aaand, I've now shaved with Sunday.

I think I can get more out of it. Getting the bevel set took more finesse than I was expecting.

That said, it's a tiny, tiny bevel and it shaved beautifully!

I imagined my fingers numb from the cold of the sea. The water sloshing gently back and forth in the basin, timbers creaking.

It was a pretty magical shave!

Random Google search has me down a rabbit hole...... Found the listing for Arad Lindsays razor. I'm assuming this posting is kind of a nod to the old post about his razor. For what it's worth..... I'm a descendent of Arad Lindsay (actually spelled, Linsday). Looks like the person who holds his razor maybe isn't a member any longer. Amazing that his piece of history was floating around out there!!!
