22 vintage straight razors, some have been "rode hard and put away wet", some look almost unused, most are very pitted (little rust at all).
Some will go away to pros for resto, I may try my hand at bringing least valuable examples back to life myself as a learning experience.
All in all, not bad for just asking... "Got any old razors kicking around?"

Wow! What an amazing score. Makes me want to make the rounds of old barber shops again. I tried this tactic on a limited basis a couple years back. The default response was a dissertation on the laws concerning blood born pathogens. There was one guy that offered me a really thrashed (unrestorable) Wade and Butcher for $45. Another had two pristine Double Duck Golden Edges that I would have loved to pick up but he obviously wasn't real keen to part with them since he was asking $250 a piece for them.

Unfortunately being a bald guy who has cut his own hair for about the last 25 years, I really don't have occasion to develop a relationship with local barbers. I kind of think that's where you got over. Hell of a nice haul though, I'll bet they'll be lots of great shavers in that bunch.

Yes, amazing what you get when you ask. Nice score.

I recently did the same with my antique picker, razor guy, who I have bought a bunch of razors from over the years.

He said “Oh you want stone too? Well, I got this, old one in a collection,” And unwrapped an inch of bubble wrap from a nice, thick natural BBW/ Coticule with the stamp on the side “Made in Belgium.”

    If I didn’t ask… again… I know I asked him, about stones… a hundred times.

    “Oh, you want stones, too?”

    Amazing score!!!
From the pictures 80% are just about good to go, the rest need some polish and a few had frowns so they will need more than average honing. The Bokers look really nice!!

You were truly blessed with that gift. Wow! All of those razors could look brand new with a minimal amount of TLC. Fantastic.

For sure you are extremely lucky!! Kudos on the great collection of razors. They all look like they are in decent condition and would not take much to get them in working order again. You've got lots of honing ahead of you, that's for sure.
