Default Pressed Horn with Hunting Dogs

Just got my first pressed horn razor, nabbed off of ebay UK. The blade is in very sad shape, so I think I will replace it with a period blade when I find the right one. The scales are beautiful blonde spotted horn with scenes of dogs on the hunt. A little neatsfoot and this should be good to go.

    Great find!

I like the character in the part of the blade that's visible. What's the rest of it look like?

Very nice find. I don't think I have seen blonde pressed horn scales before.

There's some nasty pitting, it's been heavily reground, and there's some frown. It seems like the pressed horn razors often have blades that are in really bad shape for some reason.

This is the third or fourth I've seen up for sale recently. They're my favorite type. I missed a really nice one that went for less than $90 a while ago.
