A Keen Kutter? Truly!
I purchased this razor a few months ago and have been so busy installing a backyard that I just put off cleaning and honing some of my recent acquisitions until recently. We had some rain and high winds here in Vegas and I got my opportunity to work on some razors.
This is a Simmons Hardware Keen Kutter K 739 and it is truly a fantastic shaver. I honed it on a Norton 4k/8k followed by a Dragons Tongue natural stone and finished on a purple welsh. I took my time because of the smile and the results were incredible!
I have shaved several times and love this razor. The first time there was some user error with the correct angle and I gave myself a nice patch of razor burn on my neck. Lesson learned! Every shave since has been comfortable and BBS! I really can't say enough good things about this razor and I am thrilled to place it in rotation. It is a full hollow 5/8+ and has great ergonomics, very natural to hold and use.
I shave because I want to, not because I have to!

Keen Kutter is one of the very collectible brands in many things. Mostly pocket knives but they made so many different items with that logo that there are Simmons Hardware - Keen Kutter collectors who go for anything and everything that has the logo. Beautiful example of a Keen Kutter razor.

Thanks! That is one of the reasons I bought it, there is something very stylish about its design. I was a bit apprehensive at first because here is no shoulder but the shape and jimps allow for great control.
This razor shaves every bit as good as it looks! It's the total package, definitely one of my favorites.
Thanks everyone for the great feedback. I am ecstatic to share this with fellow enthusiast who appreciate these functional works of art!I shave because I want to, not because I have to!

Neat thing about Simmons Hardware is that they bought razors from England, U.S., and Germany. This one has some Sheffield leanings to me! Thanks for posting!
