An unusual show and tell. I purchased a Famex " Pour barbes dures" razor off ebay. The seller shipped the parcel from France and it arrived extremely quickly to Montreal.
I open the package today, and I was surprised to find a french frameback razor that is obviously the wrong razor.
I checked out the sellers recently sold items, and there it was, sold to another buyer for about 20$ more than what I paid for the Famex.
Framebacks have never interested me and I have never even handled one. But to my surprise, this specimen is quite nice and in good condition. The steel is in great shape and sits tight in its horn scales.
What is the usual way to proceed when receiving the wrong item? I presume the seller would have to cover the return shipping costs I would incur.
I have contacted the seller informing her of the situation. I must confess, I am quite tempted to hone it and see how it shaves. :D But alas, common sense dictates to leave it in the same exact condition, as I hope that whomever received my Famex razor does the same. Quelle affaire!
