Greaves & Sons For Barber Use 8/8

Took a fantastic edge off my Gokumyo 20k, and its very heavy.

Been wanting a barber use only for a while. Anyone know what these were actually made for? Was it a marketing scheme like "India Steel" or "Celebrated"? I also read that it may have been intended for barbers since they were people who actually needed all that steel since they used the razors so much?

    Thanks!

If I was a barber and did 10 shaves or more a day, and had to retouch the blade every other day, I would want more steel on the blade than your once a day user. Like tool guy, bigger and more power! There are some that say, it was to pick more lather, but I think this was an added benefit, not the main reason they were made. Double O
