    Default My acquisition

I have bought these 2 razor recently and not known much about it. They seem to be middle range maybe even high end razors back in the day.
Maybe someone more knowledgeable than me can shed some light.

    1. The Brock Genune German Hollow-Ground Razor
Has "Brock" and "The Best" etched on the razor.
Has I assume rose leaves engraved on the top of the razor
On the tang it has 78 Brock one side and made in Germany on the other side stamped.
green with white cloud celluloid handle(smells like pine after wash the handle in hot water)

    2. YSC (Yorkshire Steel Company) The "4.2.3" Full Hollow Grounded Razor
    Sheffield England Nonrusta
Has YSC and Nonrusta engraved on the razor
Decorative tang one side 4.2.3 and Sheffield England on the other side stamped
white celluloid handle(smells like pine after wash the handle in hot water)

The old German seems honed out and frowning. Might shave, but the Sheffield looks most likely!
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
    I rest my case.

My Kamisori arrived to day. This is the more affordable one as it's not made of Tamahagane but Japanese steel.
Also my brush, soap and strop!! Now just need to decide which one to shave with...

The problem now is I may need to send the kamisuri for a hone but I don't know if anyone in my area can do it.
I have stropped it last night. would know if I need to sometime this weekend when I shave with it.

Oz, would be a good bet, he Is in Sydney though. He honed my razor good, and has several kamisori of his own. Not to mention being a top Bloke.

PM Modine for a Kamisori honing. He is familiar with Japanese razors.
There are several other members who can also help you. Perhaps they will post on this thread.
