    Default Pretty good haul...I think?

I was scouting on ebay for razor stuff (story of my life) and I managed to win a couple things. I have a pre 1890's Wade and Butcher coming in the mail some time and these came in today -

Starting at the "top of the clock" - GEM single edge razor and case, SAFETY-ETTE razor of some sort (I'm clueless, actually), another GEM single edge, a Shumate 35, an A. J. Jordan blade out of Sheffield, a 1940's Gillette Super Speed, and a black tip Schick Krona.

I gave the Krona and Super Speed a test shave - http://straightrazorpalace.com/shavi...ml#post1167883 and was very impressed with both.

Are any of you able to fill me in on the Safety-ette razor? I have no idea what kind of blades it uses.

    Cheers

    EDIT -
A friend called and let me know an antique shop had a pair of straight razors in a case. I swung by just now and saw these guys -

They wanted $22 for the pair and $15 for the 50's super speed. I managed to get the pair and SS for $30, so I feel like I made out like a bandit . The numbers on the tangs are 44 and 45, respectively.

I need to take the scales off and put in some work on one of them especially. The one on the bottom has some rust on the front and a bit more on the back. I'll start working on that tonight. Oh happy days!

    EDIT # 2
The Wade and Butcher came in, here's what I'm working with

It's 7/8 at it's widest point and 6/8 at the heel. The only markings are on the show side of the tang with "Manufactured by Wade and Butcher Sheffield." I know it's pre 1890's, but that's the best I've got. As you can tell, the scales are absolutely shot. I have some other W&B pressed horn scales that need a little work but are in pretty decent condition, all things considered. I'll most likely touch those up and put that blade on them. I think it's about time to call it quits on buying razors. I'll need to sell my gold fillings if I keep it up

The curved razor was for the ladys to shave armpits, think they just take a standard DE blade

Your acquisitions really look good. That Gem Featherweight is my favorite single edge razor.

Yeah that would make sense. I'll probably keep that one stowed away for a while
