Thanked: 13249What a great place we have here :)
I just have to say Thank You for all the E-mails and PM's from many friends here at SRP showing concern for my wife and I with the fire raging in Idaho.. It really shows what a fantastic community we have built, when friends from across the entire world check on you..
BTW we are fine but thanks for asking, the fires are at the other end of the state, almost 500 miles away, but we both appreciate the fact that many of you asked

Holy crap! I guess this shows what happens when you don't watch the news very often... I had no idea about the fires.
Glad to hear you and your wife are out of harms way!
Oh, and I agree... this has to be the most welcoming, helpful and downright enjoyable forums I've ever been a part of."Willpower and Dedication are good words," Roland remarked, "There's a bad one, though, that means the same thing. That one is Obsession." -Roland Deschain of Gilead

Oh! Hey Glen! are you ok?
Seriously, some are losing everything.
Bad fire season. So much loss! We had some bad ones down here last year. It is devastating and seemingly a natural thing in some areas!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Clueless in Boston, here. I need to check the news more often.
I'm glad you and your wife are well, Glen. You can take the boy out of NY, but you can't take NY out of the boy.

Yet another news avoider here.
Sorry to hear about friends & family's loss. Glad you're all good.
Fires seem to be a price to pay for living near nature. We haven't had any evac orders here since the 70's which is just as well as they stuck a few hundred houses in the gulley behind us.The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
