Thanked: 346Locked threads
It would be nice if, when an administrator locks a thread, they leave a final posting explaining who is doing the locking and why. The SOTD thread for this week has been locked without explanation, and there isn't an obvious problem with it that I can see.

Not sure why it was locked but it looks as if there was a second SOTD thread started for this week running side by side. Maybe they wanted to limit posts the single thread but locked the first one instead of the later thread.

Thanked: 346Isn't the usual administrative response to that situation to merge the later thread into the original one? That's whats happened before, at least.
Getting back to the original request, without a comment from the admin in the locked thread we're left guessing as to their intent.

I have unlocked the main thread, and merged the secondary posting into the main thread. I'm not sure who locked the thread or why, but I'll get with the other moderators & see what's going on.
