How do you remove a section of someone's post and put in into a bubble (in quotations) in your reply rather than having to include the entire original post?

Not quite that simple....
copy&paste, then surround it in \[quote\] \
(without the \)
then surround it in \[quote\] \
(without the \)then surround it in

(without the )
copy&paste, then surround it in

Remove backslashes in and out of the brackets? Well, I'll see what this looks like....something says ixnay on the ote-quay
Thanks for making my morning guys! :)
So, now we have demonstrated how NOT to use quote, but it sure is fun! :)
Sure could, there should be some kind of lock on quotes, where you can only add things in another color or something like that, but it's usually not a problem.
I still haven't figured out how to get more than one quote in one post.
You just click on the little quote marks in the speach bubble on the bottom right of the post. Evidently you can also pull stuff in from different threads.
I know how to get one quote but the others, do i have to copy paste then?
It is to the right of "reply with quote". The bubble has a little+ next to it, once selected the + turns into a tick.
Here it's usually some cat walking on the keyboard that show me some new features I haven't used before... tricky cats!
[Lemur]Here it's usually some cat walking on the keyboard that show me some new features I haven't used before... tricky cats!
I saw a tick on that cat.
no quotes...or bubbles....ADD thanks for trying and thanks for the entertaining thread...
You are welcome, were we actually any help though?
Well, I sure hope so!
I couldn't think of a clearer more in depth explanation of "quotes", (I just quoted "quotes", that must be worth an extra point).
Then, I'm no expert on "the internets", I leave that to the cats!
Tsk! Apostrophes are important!!!
You forgot the forward slash to turn off the quote. The forward slash turns things off, like turning off bold with

Spelling police, finally!
I've got a question, if I make a toy ball for my cat Coco Coricopat out of Cocobolo wood, would it be Coco Coricopat cat's Cocobolo ball?
Coco Coricopat with one of my toys;

''''''''''''. Here are a few so that I am in credit.
In this instance though I could have been giving someone their "welcome". And even with an apostrophe I would have made "you'r" which either needs an "e" - "you're", or a second apostrophe to indicate the missing "e" - "you'r'".
The second example is somewhat unconventional though.
I don't understand the slashes, brackets, soap, razors, strops....I found this site while looking for info on Esperanto, and why it was a dismal failure.
Thanks
