Default Item marked as sold, haven't received any notification

I noticed in another thread that the classified software has it bugs, well, I think I've found another. My brush ad is marked as sold, but I haven't received any notification via email or paypal.

If you haven't received a notification from paypal your ad has expired. Some time ago the developer of the software decided to stop making distinction between sold and expired. I've already told him that I thought this was a mistake, but it's his decision.

True, you can post 6 ads and never sell anything but they default to sold.

That feature hasn't been operative in ages. Maybe the whole system needs to be deleted and do a new install ? Just thinking out loud. Works for corrupted Linux systems but I'm in over my head here.

I ran the notification script about 5 days ago manually, and it did list out a few emails. That doesn't mean they were sent of course, but as far as I can tell it should still work if it is run regularly. The issue may be simply that the script has not been run in a while.

Anyway, I have just installed the new version of the Classifieds software on our test site and will spend the next few days testing it out etc. No promises on the exact timeframe, but if all goes well, I don't screw anything up, and Gugi is happy we may be able to upgrade the Classifieds software here on the real site in the near future.

I got two notification messages just last night! Of course, I'd prefer that someone bought them...

That being said, I'd rather have the Classifieds return to the old B/S/T format, but I guess there's not "putting the genie back in the bottle", sigh.
You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.
