I hope you aren't going to count that as a post for the purposes of the classifieds or giveaways . That was a joke before anyone gets all out of shape.

As an aside does the forum monitor the content of the posts if someone is running close to the minimum, as with the giveaways, if we are encouraging a community spirit, at least some posts should contain something of use to the community and not just be padding or flippant answers to attain the minimum levels required to meet the criteria.
If we would disregard flippant answers your count would go way down! [-1 for me.]

    I concur entirely. Right that's 5.
On a serious note you are right, but out of the nearly 2700 posts in 5 months there has to be a few gems in there.
Besides I might come up with a LOT of nonsense, but you could never argue that I wasn't an active member of the forum.

And as a newb (July?) to the site and the art and science of SR shaving, I think it's very useful and well run. I especially enjoy the back and forth between those with differing opinions and the tolerance for when very senior members who obviously have been involved for a long time trade barbs, puns or quips that some forums would delete, but which this one seems to value as a sign of real community, almost family.

I appreciate the way this site is moderated and run.

I appreciate the fairness of the moderators (and yes I have been reminded discretely once ) in upholding the forum rules.

I firmly believe that the rules and the moderators are a major part of the reason the community here is what it is.

The fact that so many members seem to take a pride in being part of SRP and the wet shaving community,

and as Ed has shown, do have concerns with keeping things productive and growing.

I also believe that wet shaving is not something for everyone and certain personalities are more drawn to it than others.

I appreciate the effort to stimulate conversation and participation.

I am always glad to see new members arrive,

but I really enjoy when someone that has followed SRP for a while in the shadows steps forward and introduces themselves.

I know I have taken more away from the members here than I will be able return in any short order,

and the more participation the more opportunities for me to share what my experiences were and are.

So I extend a my thanks and gratitude to not just the founders and moderators here,

but tip my hat to the members in general as well.

yup I would still be a junior without the "jerk" post so glad content does not count. Even though sometimes I go a month or more without posts, as life intervenes.... I try to think I'm an active member.
