I think we've located the problem. I also understand why more people didn't experience a virus checker warning... their security settings/firewall stopped the attack so there was nothing for the virus checker to find.
BTW, for those who are worried that the video files themselves were corrupt, that's not the case. The files have always been clean. This was purely a malicious piece of code that a hacker corrupted our site with many months ago... most likely before we moved to the current server.
The videos will remain off-line until we decide how to prevent this type of intrusion in the future.

I'm glad this issue will finally get resolved. Whoever did it, hid it well enough to make troubleshooting diffucult.
