For me it has been running well most of the time lately. Every now and again the loading seems to slow down for periods of time, but I attribute that to traffic. Whatever, iz whut it iz.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I've never had trouble loading it. I do use ad block plus and other software to make my browser better. I'm currently using firefox after I found chrome to be pretty sub-standard.

Over the last few months the time it has taken to load the site has become nigh on unacceptable to me. I have a fibre high speed conection, but the site sometimes loads so slowly I might as well have an old-fashioned dial-up connection.

I know Gugi has said that it is nothing to do with the ads, but I often notice the loading sign going round and round until a new set of sponsors ads have loaded, whereupon it goes directly to the page, forcing me to the conclusion that the ads are to blame in some instances.

Other times, like today, after waiting for a prolonged period I get this:

    Name: srp server.jpg
Views: 133
Size: 26.4 KB

It is not just my operating system - I have windows, mac and android and all are subject to the delays. Like Jimmy has noted, sometimes it is OK, other times it is not.

I can envisage the huge problems involved in transferring hosting, but I thought I would register my thoughts anyway - what the hell!

    Regards,
    Neil

I have noticed the same problem as Neil did. There are times it is very slow to load or I get the "connection has timed out" page displayed. My internet connection runs consistently between 23-25 mbps. Strange.

Same here, most of the time its fine but every now and again (getting more frequent) it just hangs before timing out.

I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but I had some of these issues before. I have taken to logging out as I get off.
I saved password and username, so just a click or two and I am back on. No issues whatsoever since doing this. Over a year now!
I thought it may be that it was trying to connect and find me at the same time?
    I have no idea?

    I rest my case.

Said it before. Smooth sailing. Never a hiccup except when there's a forum update. My download speed averages between 80 - 100 Mbps.

Well, no matter how fast or parallel ads load, they create more rendering work for the browser so they do slow down things, but given the much more significant network problems at the hosting provider, it makes no sense to look at the ads. Most importantly as they are trying to fix it it's a rapidly changing environment that I have no control or even knowledge of the changes that may or may not be happening, so any comparison tests I can run are meaningless.
The one thing that is least affected by these problems should be the ads because they are only initiated at the srp server but then the rest comes from google.

That's probably from the reconfiguration of the network after the new networking equipment which they were doing last night. Being a US company with presumably mostly US customers and US traffic they schedule such tasks for night time which is already morning in the UK.

I use the site with all the bells and whistles, so I can know if something doesn't work well. I certainly wouldn't see things that are geographically limited, but I also monitor the various statistics. I know that the site is slower than in say January, I have multiple suspects to pursue, but before I can do it I have to wait until the networking is fixed (it may be as of this morning, but I'd be more confident if this holds for at least few days).
Anyways, I want to know of any problems that you experience, and I try to fix them, but in reality the causes may or may not be what you think.

I have never seen anything like that at all, I'm on here frequently enough I assume to be able to encounter peak usage times but then again the window when I am asleep could be the "peakest" time and therefore I always miss it.

I've had issues just in the last two days with logging on, however I find it does seem to resolve itself if I can just fight the DT's for a few hours before trying again.
