Thread: Tapatalk Ads

Just noticed ads pop up amongst the threads on Tapatalk. Very sneeky! I clicked on one before I realized what it was. Apparently it's a pretty new thing, been reading a little about it on different blogs.

Or have I not been noticing them before? Haha.

Seems odd for a paid app.

It's a pilot program they're running, iirc the ads are provided by yahoo.

Yeah I thought it was a user named Yahoo

They're supposed to share part of the revenue with the forum, but I don't think anybody has any ideas what that means. The last time they offered ads I thought I'd test them and they generated something between 20cents and 80 cents over a month or two, I don't quite remember the details.

They have also been pushing for a while to forums a forum-branded app for $69/month, but given how few people use it here and the amount of money tapatalk is asking, it makes no sense.
