Chat room
I've posted a similar thread before, and got some guff for it, but I still think it's a good idea. If someone is logged on to the chat room, and they don't post any comments within a given amount of time, they should be booted from the chat until they log back in. I've seen the same names for years, without ever seeing any comments from the names. I think 20 minutes is a very generous amount of time. I feel this would greatly improve the chat room, as you would truly know if anyone was talking whenever you log on. My 2c.

Wayne, it's IRC and I have logged in using my IRC client, so I'm always in there... I'm currently logged into about 20 different chat rooms (music/linux/razors/programming/etc.) if anyone mentions my nick, my computer gives me a heads up, and I look through each of the rooms a once a day to see what's going on. This is not chat for only this site, so the admins have no control over something like that, nor should they... I want to see what's going on in there, and if I'm looking at my computer when something goes on, I'll jump in on the conversation....
