    Default Here versus Yahoo

How do people deal with the issue of posting here in the Forums versus posting to the Yahoo! group? Or is it two disjunct groups? Just curious; seems like we have two separate sites going at the same thing. Yahoo! Groups is kinda in between a forum and a mailing list, compared to here, but it's the same idea; you can search either one for info.

Generally the same group. I exist in both places, but I only check the Yahoo group 1x/week. I'm here 2 or 3 times a day. I dunno

Same with me, I found the YAHOO site first. Things from there come to my mail box, I read the post here a couple of times a day.

Some folks prefer e-mail, and stuck with the original group at Yahoo. The folks who like the threaded feel of the forums migrated here. There is a lot of duplicity between the two -- the files section is the same, but a little better here since everything was the same font/size & PDF'd when we moved (probably isn't this way any longer though )

The Yahoo Group is the original and actually the first Straight Razor Forum on the internet. It all started there. When we started this forum, it was felt that we should leave the Yahoo Group alive for those who where not comfy moving over here and at the same time keeping all the opportunities open. So far it has worked out well with a little less traffic over there and those that find it on searches, coming over here and joining the family.....lol.

I found the Yahoo site just as this one started and found the Yahoo way too busy to follow. The people here and the interface make it an easy place to participate so I hang around.

Wow, and I thought the Yahoo group was abandoned when this was established. I guess not. That's all I need, another one of these sites to distract me from work. - John

I still get email from the Yahoo group. I have to go in every now and again and clean it out.
