Thread: Can't use keyboard on my surface2pro

Any one know how to get the keyboard to stay up on my surface pro2 on this forum? Every time I try to post the keyboard comes up for a sec and then disappears. I have seen others have this issues on other forums but I have reviewed the settings and I should have it set up. I'm stuck for now having to only use my iphone6 for this forum.

I have had the same issue on my surface pro2. I have one of attachable keyboards. If it gets wonky I disconnect and reconnect it. Usually fixes the issue.

Bummer. I am typing from an old HP laptop with XP. It works. My modern one has crashed!

Ya I don't have one of those fancy detachable keyboards....yet. Guess I can justify getting one with the wife now as I can't be limited to just my cell for SRP

You need to use the attachable keyboard to post on a Surface of any generation for some reason. I have to use my mechanical keyboard or I also get the touch screen keyboard popping up for a second and then going away when a letter is pressed. $129.99 is pricy for a keyboard but hey if you use it a lot it's worth it in my opinion.

Have been playing with a bunch of Surface Pro 3 systems in the past week... they have the same issue, and solution, with the attachable keyboards...

Try using the Go Advanced button. I sometimes have this problem using Quick Reply, but never when switching to Advanced.

If it's supposed to have a keyboard available on screen then that's horse hickey! It should work, don't know how to fix it but I ain't getting one, but there are some sharp guys on here who can probably help. Tc

Are there any keyboard aps that you can install? I was having issues with the stock keyboard app on my phone, so I put on a different one.
